Brief Introduction to AIM9

The Aim9 model sets out to systemise exactly what makes the Internet special for businesspeople and marketers.

The significance of the Internet as a communications and distribution channel is expoused by pretty much everyone nowadays. But why - and how - is it important? Today's managers are fond of stating the importance of "leveraging the Internet", but when asked for clarification many fall silent.

The Aim9 model comprises nine dimensions which its authors believe to be fundamental characteristics of the Internet as a business tool.

Aim9 can be used to provide structure to assessments, competitor audits and strategic planning.

We view Aim9 as very much a work in progress and welcome any feedback or points of clarification.
